Dr. Karkuri graduated with honors from Garyounis University College of Dentistry Libya and earned his Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree in 2006. After working for three years as a General Dental practitioner, he continued to pursue his dream of becoming a specialist in Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with a specialty degree in 2015. Later that year, he became board certified in Orthodontics.He has 13 years of clinical practice experience in various settings, 10 of those years were dedicated to being a specialist in Orthodontics, which gives him the clinical experience to take care of complex Orthodontic cases with various techniques, including Invisalign, Traditional and Clear braces. With his knowledge, clinical skills, compassion, and the care of our staff–we will strive to give you the best dental experience.

For over a decade, Dr. Garrett Nelson has been practicing oral surgery in the DFW area. Dentistry is in his family as he is a fourth-generation dentist. Dr. Nelson’s brother is an orthodontist in the Houston area and his father continues to practice dentistry at 72 years of age. Dr. Nelson is committed to the delivery of the best oral surgery treatment and experience possible.Dr. Nelson’s clinical experience includes implant dentistry where he utilizes the very latest technology in planning and delivering the very best in clinical care.Dr. Nelson studied dentistry at UCLA and studied medicine at Texas Tech. He is a native of Los Angeles but came to Texas to settle down as his new home. He completed his Oral Surgery training at Baylor in Dallas and continues to serve the oral surgery program as an Associate Clinical Professor for over ten years. Many of the current dentists throughout Dallas were once his students.Dr. Nelson has four children and lives in Frisco where he enjoys golf, travel, snow skiing and serving his church and community. His newest hobby is running several half marathons a year with his wife, Rachel.

Dr. Karla Macias is from Matamoros, Mexico but grew up in nearby Garland, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry.   Dr. Macias joined the dental field because of the profound impact dentistry on patient’s quality of life and self esteem. After all, your smile is the best accessory you can wear! Her philosophy is preventive care and patient education, empowering each patient to feel confident about their oral health. She is committed to creating a comforting environment where each patient feels heard, valued, and supported.  Outside of the office, Dr. Macias enjoys going on adventures with her husband and her son. During the winter season, she enjoys the adrenaline of snowboarding but when it’s hot, you’ll find her lounging and swimming in a pool!
