DECA Dental Group Reports Over $1.2M in Volunteer Dental Services in 2024
DECA Dental Group is proud to announce a milestone achievement in 2024, providing $1.2M in volunteer dental services to underserved communities across the United States and beyond. Driven by its mission to give back and its foundation of being “Clinician Founded. Clinician Led.™,” the organization leveraged its expertise and resources to make a profound impact to the global community.
A Year of Meaningful Outreach
DECA’s volunteer efforts in 2024 spanned local and international communities, prioritizing access to essential dental care for those who need it most. Key initiatives included:
- Collaborations with Mission Arlington: DECA partnered with this nonprofit to provide free dental care to underserved populations, addressing long-standing oral health needs. This initiative also engaged local dental schools, enabling students and clinicians to join forces in delivering life-changing care.
- Nationwide Study Clubs: DECA’s Clinical Board Mentors hosted extraction, and endodontic study clubs in cities across the country. These events offered free treatments to patients while fostering hands-on education for participating clinicians, combining care with professional development.
- International Outreach in Mexico: Expanding its impact globally, DECA launched volunteer programs in Mexico, delivering much-needed surgical dental services such as extractions, implants, and facial reconstructions to communities with limited access to healthcare.
Aligning Training with Service
A key component of DECA’s success in 2024 was its integration of volunteer work with its award-winning training programs. As a PACE AGD-certified organization, DECA enabled doctors to earn continuing education (CE) credits while volunteering, ensuring professional growth while addressing critical patient needs. This approach not only enhanced the confidence and expertise of DECA’s clinicians but also maximized the care provided to underserved communities.
Reflecting on 2024’s Impact
DECA’s efforts reached thousands of patients in need, many of whom had waited years for dental care. From preventive services to more complex procedures, the organization addressed a wide range of oral health needs. “Volunteering allows us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients while also helping our doctors grow in their profession,” said Dr. Matthew Doan, DECA Owner Doctor & Managing Clinical Director. “This dual benefit has been a driving force behind our efforts.”
Looking Ahead to 2025
While 2024 was a banner year for DECA’s volunteer initiatives, the organization is already setting its sights on the future. Plans for 2025 include expanding outreach programs to new markets and increasing collaboration with nonprofit partners to reach even more communities in need.
“Our commitment to giving back through serving others is stronger than ever as we continue to grow,” said Dr. Shalin Patel, Partner and Chief Medical Officer at DECA Dental Group. “The success of our volunteer efforts in 2024 is just the beginning. We are deeply committed to expanding our outreach programs and extending our impact on local and global communities in 2025 and beyond.”
A Legacy of Service
DECA Dental Group’s 2024 volunteer efforts exemplify its core values of compassion, excellence, and community engagement. “The most fulfilling part of dentistry is seeing the positive impact a healthy mouth has on someone,” said Dr. Justin Ashton, Director of Surgery and Implantology for DECA Dental Group. “Empowering more clinicians each year to provide high-quality, compassionate care will help create many more healthy smiles.” With its unique combination of best-in-class training and a commitment to service, DECA continues to set the standard for what it means to be a clinician-founded and clinician-led organization.
